5. How to request a record
- If it is your own personal information, do not use this process. Export and deletion live in your settings and work immediately, without anyone reading a request. That is faster than any statutory route.
- Otherwise, write to privacy@theroadtodev.com using the prescribed Form C, describing the record sought, the right you are seeking to exercise or protect, and how you wish to receive it.
- We reply within 30 days, and will say plainly if we need longer and why.
- We charge no fee, even where PAIA permits one.
We verify who you are by your signed-in session, or by a link sent to the address on your account. We never ask for an identity document.
6. When a request can be refused
Chapter 4 of PAIA requires or permits refusal in some cases — most relevantly the mandatory protection of another person's privacy, of commercially confidential information, and of records subject to legal privilege. A refusal is given in writing with its reasons and the route to challenge it.
7. Records available without a request
All course content, the privacy page, the terms, the accessibility statement and every public profile and certificate are published on this website and need no request at all.
